It was a nice pass, but Olszewski needs to finish. The rookie should’ve had a highlight 35-yard deep ball to Olszewski on the next play, but the receiver dropped the ball when he landed on the ground. Jones was able to reset by completing back-to-back passes to James White. Jones’ next pass to Agholor was broken up by Williams and then he missed Wilkerson by the sideline. Jones’ next pass was deflected by Dexter Lawrence before he finally hit Smith and Agholor. The offsides call negated a Jones interception by Logan Ryan, who jumped in front of Jonnu Smith. The Giants started the drive with two penalties – hands to the face and offsides. We also had a helicopter landing in the field next to the practice field to add even more noise. This time, music was blasting to simulate crowd noise. Next up, Jones helped orchestrate a 21-play drive that turned out to be sloppy for the Patriots offense. The Pats finished the drive with a Damien Harris touchdown run and then a Quinn Nordin extra point. Newton recovered with a first-down throw to Kendrick Bourne. The quarterbacks started off practice with 7-on-7s, which put the offense at the 5-yard line. Jones went 1-of-2 in 7-on-7 drills and 10-of-20 in full-team work. With the drops, you’d give Jones an adjusted completion percentage of 64%, but it doesn’t wasn’t as good as Wednesday’s performance when he hit 88% of his throws. That included three dropped passes from Gunner Olszewski, Jonnu Smith and Damien Harris. Jones received more reps finishing 11-of-22 (50%). That included Newton going 2-of-3 in 7-on-7s and 4-of-6 in11-on-11s.
